Szabolcs Szilveszter
(Chief Professor)
Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania
Szabolcs Szilveszter, PhD, Environmental engineer. He obtained an engineering degree at Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania (2008) and a Ph.D. at Polytechnic University of Bucharest (2011). His interdisciplinary background combines environmental engineering, biotechnology, and water management. He has more than 11 years of experience in research, teaching, and industrial consultancy. His professional interests cover several aspects of water management, wastewater treatment, mathematical modeling, and other areas and processes of environmental biotechnology. Szabolcs has been involved in different research projects and published more than 20 scientific papers, which are mainly dealing with environmental biotechnology, and biological wastewater treatment (link). He has significant teaching experience. Currently, he is an assistant professor at Sapientia University, Department of Bioengineering. He taught courses in two universities in Hungary (the University of Veszprém and ELTE Budapest within Erasmus Mobility), Ecuador (UTN, Prometeo fellowship), and South Africa (CPUT University, KIC call).
